Why Noise Night?

First, I think I should answer what Noise Night is. The goal is to have a night a couple times a month that I can get together with like minded individuals, make some instruments, and make some noise. I like strange forms of music, and I like jamming with other people. It seemed logical to start something that could bring these things together.

Noise Night is currently being held at the Willoughby and Baltic, an organization that I am a member of. It will continue to happen there every second and fourth Thursday in a month. We can currently handle around 30 people comfortably. There is even a stage for performances, and we can hook up soldering irons for the people who want to work on some instruments. I wrote up a fairly long post on my blog about the first one.

Since then I've created a few resources:
  1. This Website: To collect the information into a single place.
  2. A Google Calendar: All date-specific information will be in the calendar entry, such as performers and special guests.
  3. A Flickr Group: For images to be posted to. The badge on the right of the website will list random pictures form the pool. To get them on the website, just throw them in the pool
  4. A Youtube Group: To allow people to add in their own videos of the events. I will make a post when good videos get thrown into the group.
  5. A Mailing List: This is the bending group I made for Boston, but it should work well for Noise Night communications as well.

As more information comes in, I'll post things here. You can also expect guests to be announced here as well. If you are interested in participating, then shoot me an email: Jimmie@[thiswebsite].
